LaSalle Vipers vs Komoka Oct. 10 home game notes

With a 3-4 record to date, LaSalle is coming off a 5-4 OT home win over Chatham. Defence man Dylan Robinson’s three assists, including one on the game winner by Aaron Shaw, were a big factor in the win. A.J. Ryan and Cody Schneider lead the team in points with 9, followed by Brett Vorshuk and Kory Silverio, a point back. The Vipers are averaging about 28 shots per game and giving up about the same.

 

With a 4-5 overall record, Komoka is coming off a big 4-3 OT home win over previously unbeaten London. Forward Joel Mazzilli, who got the OT winner against London, leads the Kings’ attack with 15 points and Dario Beljo has 11. The Kings were outshot 35-20 by London, which also went 2 for 8 on power play chances. The Kings’ power play has been a bit more effective than the Vipers (22% conversion rate vs 18.5%) but their penalty kill record is about the same – 77% vs 75% for LaSalle. The Kings are averaging about 33 shots per game and giving up 35. All of the Kings’ wins have been at home.
