WPU EARNS 3 LEAGUE POINTS
After comiing off an overtime road loss to Keene State on Saturday night 7-6, the Pioneers quickly turned the page in New Hampshire finding a way to earn 3 league points over UNH. "I thought we did a great job on re-focusing and finding a way to win on the road against a good team. Sometimes after a loss that feeling lingers and you find yourself struggling to find your way early", said Coach Ballance. The Pioneers did just the opposite by taking a 2-1 lead after the first period of play. The second period saw the Pioneers open the game up with a 6-1 advantage, but UNH would not go away and the lead quickly turned to 6-4 after two periods of play. The Pioneers finished the third period strong completing the victory by a final score of 8-4. Freshman goaltender, Evan Barghout earned his second win of the season in just as many starts.
The Pioneers will resume play after Thanksgiving when they travel to SECHL opponents Siena College on Friday night and CCSU on Saturday night. Both games will be broadcasted on MESNradio.com. Tune in as your Pioneers finish the semester with these final two games looking to earn 6 league points.
