HF Leadership “Beyond the Field” finished their equipment drive for the Junior Giants of Concord!

Led by Isaac Tokarz and Justin Iglesias (Bishop O’Dowd H.S) , they collected 60+ bats, 50+ pairs of shoes, 55 gloves, helmets, catcher’s gear, books, and more!

They brought all of the equipment to Concord to pass out to many excited young ball players! 

" This equipment Drive was a huge success and we are very proud of the Isaac and Justin. We were there to watch them interact and pass out equipment to young ball players and "giving back"  is what the game of baseball is all about." said Owner Michael Iglesias

Celebrating 6 years of Headfirst Leadership “Beyond the Field”. Over 20 Community Service Events, 15 Partnerships established and over 500 volunteers mobilized from across the Headfirst Baseball teams & families. Next up our 5th Annual Equipment/Book/Clothing Drive for Junior Giants of Concord.

We set out to collect, assemble and deliver 150 kits, and through the generosity and determination of players and families we were able to deliver 350 "Welcome Kits" to hospitalized children.  Way to hit it out of the park everyone!

Tis the Season to give. We are teaming up with Roche Molecular Solutions to combine digital forces to create a virtual Holiday Food Drive with the Open Heart Kitchen It only takes $3 to provide a meal for a person in need. #GivingTuesday

Thanks to Headfirst Baseball Academy teaming up with Roche to combine digital forces this Holiday Season, we were able to raise a total of over $4,500 for the 2020 Holiday Virtual Food Drive for Open Heart Kitchen. That’s over 2,200 meals served to our neighbors in need.

Thankful to have the opportunity to partner with FCA.org to send 60+ pair of new Nike Cleats and equipment to players and coaches in the Dominican Republic. #Teamwork

Always a good day when we can collaborate with Ana Villalobos Concord Junior Giants Baseball League to help distribute baseball cleats to kids in need.

We delivered new school supplies today to Davis Street thanks to a unexpected donation we received. Davis Street is collecting new items until 8/7/20 for their 15th Annual Backpack Drive if you would like to donate.

4th Annual Equipment/Clothing/Book Drive held before #COVID19 for Concord Junior Giants Baseball League was a HUGE success. Congratulations to the newest Leaders to the HF Beyond the Field Leadership Team:

Vince Caltagirone (Sophomore, Monte Vista HS) and Gianni Caltagirone (8th grade Diablo Vista Middle School)!!

They are taking the lead on their first project: Holiday Care Packages for the Homeless Open Heart Kitchen. 

Headfirst players and families helped to make the holidays a little brighter for over 1,000 families by donating through the HF Leadership Team Beyond the Field's Toy Drive.initiative.  Team leaders helped to deliver the toys to Davis Street and then helped to deliver the Toy Baskets to the families in need.

Over the Veterans Day weekend volunteers spent a morning with members of East Bay Blue Star Moms Chapter 101 putting Holiday Care Packages together for the soldiers.

On Dec 1st, we then helped to pack 650 care packages and load them onto trucks for delivery to our deployed troops.

Thank you Nick Walker for leading this initiative and to the volunteers and families that donated items, wrote post cards and physically helped to make the event a success!

BTF delivered 2 truckloads of donated clothing to Davis Street today. Davis Street serves over 15,000 families annually that are in need. Thank you to our intern Elijah James - 8th grader for introducing us to such a great organization!

Road Trip to Santa Rosa, CA today to deliver donated equipment & a check for $1,100 to the Mark West Little League for the 110 players that lost their home & belongings in the North Bay Fires. Thanks to all that donated.

Dawson and Nick received the Headfirst Baseball Outstanding Leadership Award 2017. Looking forward to a great 2018.

The HF Leadership team Beyond the Field organized over 60 HF players and parents to volunteer out at the Alameda County Community Food Bank (ACCFB) on Nov. 10, 2017.  Two shifts of workers combined to process 37,964 pounds of produce equaling more than 31,000 meals for people in need in our community.  Great job everyone!

Had a fun night out at the San Francisco Giants game as "Special Guests" being honored for our work with the SF Junior Giants of Concord.

The Headfirst Leadership Team Beyond the Field surprised the Concord Junior Giants Baseball League with back-to-school supplies donated by the Headfirst families and players.

Dawson Mann, Nick Walker and Jake Coleman of the Headfirst Leadership Team Beyond the Field had a fun experience volunteering as assistant coaches for some awesome kids in the Concord Junior Giants Baseball League.

With the support of the Headfirst families, players, and coaches The HF Leadership Team Beyond the Field were able to collect 780 gently used/new baseball items, clothing and books and deliver them to the Concord Junior Giants Baseball League June 21st, 2017.

Headfirst Leadership Team Beyond the Field had a great time out at the Western Challenger Jamboree 2017, in Dublin, CA volunteering as "Buddies" helping mentally and physically challenged youths enjoy a fun day of baseball.

Headfirst Leadership Team Beyond the Field is excited to announce that we are partnering with the San Francisco Junior Giants to launch an equipment, clothing and book drive to help underserved youths in the East Bay area.
