SCBL: Ballantyne Smokies

HOST FAMILIES

Players and their local families form a bond that doesn't end when the season comes to a close.

If you love baseball and the idea of sharing your home with a potential future Professional Baseball Player, have we got an opportunity for you! The Ballantyne Smokies summer collegiate baseball team is bringing talented players from all across the United States right here to the Ballantyne community! Help us bring a winning team to our area by volunteering to be a host family. Host families provide a safe and comfortable family environment. These young men will provide a positive influence in our community and in your home.

Players will begin arriving in late May/early June and will be playing baseball until late July. Host families typically provide meals for the player and give them access to a washer and dryer. Some families have hosted two baseball players and find it is sometimes easier than just hosting one.

The Ballantyne Smokies could not exist without the support and assistance of the community - especially the generous families and individuals who have opened their homes to these young players. For more information on how to become a host family, contact J.P Ippolito at (803) 448-1728.
