Each season, young men from around the country will play and live in Bristol while they play for the Bristol Blues Baseball team in The New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) This league is a 14-team collegiate summer baseball league founded in 1993 and sanctioned by the NCAA and Major League Baseball.
Along with the Cape Cod Baseball League, Northwoods League, and Coastal Plain League, it is considered one of the top summer leagues in the country and is a part of the National Alliance of College Summer Baseball. In 2019, the Collegiate Summer Baseball Register ranked the NECBL as the 2nd best collegiate summer baseball league, behind only the Cape Cod League. The Host Family Program provides them with a welcoming home during their stay.
Throughout the history of baseball, Host Family Programs have been a vital part of the success for nearly every team, both on and off the field. As players become a part of a local family, it allows these young men to stay grounded and comfortable in an unfamiliar new city. For many host families, their players become more than just guests— they become part of the family. Experience memories that last a lifetime, become a Bristol Blues host family today!
