THE CORNWALL COLTS HISTORY
The Cornwall Colts (formerly the Massena Americans/Turbines) came to Cornwall in the 1992/93 season and in their inaugural year went to the second round of the playoffs.
The club changed ownership in the 1994/95 season, finished the season as the CJHL Champions and went on to the Fred Page Cup in Joliette, QC.
The 1995/96 season was just as successful, as the team again won the CJHL Championship and went on to the Fred Page Cup in Dartmouth, NS.
The next three seasons the Colts were always in the mix when playoffs came around. The 1999/2000 season saw the team win another CJHL Championship and go on to win the Fred Page Cup, advancing them to the Royal Bank Cup in Fort McMurray, AL.
The 2000/01 season brought another CJHL Championship and a trip to the Fred Page Cup in Coaticook, QC.
The Colts made the playoffs each of the next five seasons and also hosted the Fred Page Cup in the 2002/03 season, which was a great success.
The 2006/07 season became a rebuilding year under a new ownership group and new scouting staff, as the team gets ready to host the Royal Bank Cup in May 2008.
Over the span of 14 seasons, the Cornwall Colts have sent 81 players on to play with NCAA Division I to Division III colleges and universities and to higher leagues, including the NHL.
