Evaluation Skate Information

 

The Jr. Detroit Red Wings will be hosting an open evaluation skate for any interested female player who has an interest in attending this special showcase event .  Building on a rich history of representing female hockey here in Detroit, the team will be led by head coach Manon Rheaume as they anticipate their return to the 2019 North American Prospects Showcase.  Evaluation skates will be open to any pre-registered player who is born in the 2007, 2008, or 2009 birth year classification.

The Girls Detroit Jr. Red Wings team will be participating in the

North American Prospects Showcase scheduled for June 2019

 

As described on the tournament's website, "The purpose of Selects Showcase is to unite the best NCAA coaches and the most elite female hockey players from across North America and Europe.  In 2017, the Selects Showcase featured over 35 NCAA D1 coaches including 15 head coaches! The Showcase models our highly scouted "Prep Prospects Showcase" but on a higher scale as we set the stage for those players looking to compete at the collegiate level. Our goal is to give our Selects players the best opportunity to be exposed to as many women's hockey programs in the country under one roof. We plan to showcase players by compiling a highly competitive weekend that not only allows players to skate with and against the top talent in North America, but also naturally allows players to get a glimpse into different coaching styles".
