Contractor Update:
Rink information
The rink builder is a conglomerate called Ryan Service Group. The builder will supply subcontractors, construction management, and financial support.
To date the following has been started:
- An architectural firm by the name of Architetra has been contacted and floor plans will available soon for public viewing.
- Two ice rink manufacturing companies are bidding the contract to supply a sheet of ice, boards, score board, and machinery. A local company, BK Mechanical has made several visits.
- Painter has visited the building to assess what needs to be done.
Organization Information Update:
- The President accompanied the landlord, and met with Township Supervisors to review our operation and discuss anticipated improvements to the building.
- An exception to the standard wait time for permits was requested since there will not be any “structural” additions, only improvements, i.e. restrooms, locker rooms, etc.
- They were made aware of the time frame of our anticipated opening and are awaiting our architectural drawing. Overall, the meeting went well.
- Once the drawings are received from the architect, we will post on our website.
