Hyundai Hockey Helpers Awareness Game

A huge thank you to Clarington Hyundai for hosting the Eagles game this Sunday.  Sean Logan of Hyundai Canada and Darlene Brown of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarington dropped the puck, accompanied by (L-R) Mike Hamilton, Clarington Hyundai; Vic Chiasson, GM Eagles; and Eugene Todd, KidsSport. Our red carpet guests were escorted by Eagles "Little Buddies" and BBBBC "Littles".

Hyundai Hockey Helpers Awareness Game

Hockey teaches kids to be part of a team, that hard work is the best way to succeed and the value of good sportsmanship, but playing hockey is expensive. Financial barriers keep many kids out of the game. Hyundai Hockey Helpers is dedicated to helping these kids play by providing grants for league registration fees and equipment. So rouse from your turkey coma on Thanksgiving Monday and come out to help Clarington Hyundai and the Eagles raise awareness about the Hyundai Hockey Helpers Grant Program.

Clarington Hyundai is just one of the Hyundai dealers across Canada that supports this program. Hyundai pays for all the administrative costs and the first 1,000 grants given out. But what our kids in Clarington?  Funds raised at Monday’s game will go 100% to support young players in our own community. Please, join us for the game, have some fun, learn how Hyundai Hockey Helpers work and help our kids play hockey. They are the future of Canada’s great game.  The puck drops at 2:20 pm on Monday, 13 October 2014, Garnet B. Rickard Arena, Pad A, intersection of King Street and Route 57, Bowmanville.
