(September 24, 2013) The McKinney Warriors today announced the hiring of Aaron Corbiere as the new Head Coach. Corbiere replaces Jeff Ramsay who withdrew several weeks ago due to personal matters. Coaches Dykstra and Adams remain on the staff and are eager to begin working with Corbiere.
"Corbs" comes to the Warriors with substantial experience having most recently been an assistant with the Dells Ducks in the Minnesota League. While there his responsiblities were focused on player recruitment, video analysis, on ice teaching and goalie development.
Prior to joining the Ducks, Aaron was an assistant with the Southern Oregon Spartans in the NORPAC. He was also Head Coach of the Alpena Thunder in the CJHL in the 2010/2011 season. Prior to moving to the Junior ranks, Corbiere was goalie coach for the Soo Indians Midget AAA program. He was also a goalie instructor for Global, On Target and Rick Heinze Hockey and Goalie School.
Aaron played his youth hockey in the Soo and played three seasons of Junior hockey before moving to Finlandia University in Hancock, MI.
The Warriors are excited with this addition to our staff.
