Welcome to USC Hockey’s Junior Panther Program!
We are dedicated to providing a FUN, EDUCATIONAL, and LOW COST experience for all Upper St. Clair students in grades K-5 who interested in learning hockey, improving their skills, and playing with other USC students.
Our Junior Panthers Program has grown exponentially over the past couple of years and we are grateful to all those who have helped make it such a great program! Emphasis on the Junior Panthers will be extra ice time for younger players to improve their hockey skills. (This is not a learn to skate program.)
We have once again secured weekly ice time for practices at Ice Castle Arena, starting on Sunday, September 9th @ 6pm. Practice ice will be scheduled once the PIHL Varsity, JV, and Freshman game schedules are announced, allowing for us to use unused practice ice. This will keep the organization from wasting ice time and will keep our costs low.
Registration:
- We will hold registration on the first day of practice---Sunday, September 9th – 6:00 to 6:50pm @ Ice Castle Arena, on Castle Shannon Blvd. Registration will begin @ 5:30pm.
- Bring completed registration form, code of conduct form, consent to treat form, and or fill out forms at rink.
- Register with USA Hockey @ www.usahockeyregistration.com (there is a $40 charge) and bringcopy of registration (IMR) to rink with you. All players must be USA Hockey registered!
- All players must wear full equipment on the ice. This includes: helmet with cage and mouth guard, neck guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, hockey pants, cup, shin guards, and skates. Every player will also need their own stick. Equipment is sold at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Perani’s in Mt. Lebanon, KO Sports in Canonsburg, Premier Hockey on Library Rd, as well as others and local rinks.
- Fees: To cover the expense of purchased practice ice we are charging $195.00 per player. This will include practices, USC jerseys and socks.
As usual, our USC Varsity, JV, and Freshman players will assist our coaches at practices. Both younger and older players truly enjoy the experience! We hope you will join us for another fun and exciting year of USC Hockey.
