IceCats Hockey

The Pitt-Johnstown IceCats hockey team is a competitive member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the College Hockey East (CHE). The organization promotes teamwork and develops leadership skills.

The team has won the CHE Championship in 2003, 2005 and 2014; and also qualified for the ACHA National tournament 2005, 2006, 2014, and 2015. The season begins in early September and finishes with the National Tournament held in March.

The IceCats hold two to three on-ice practices per week and one off-ice conditioning practice per week throughout the season.  There is a 30-35 game regular season schedule. Home games and practices are held at the 1st Summit Arena in downtown Johnstown. Students must maintain a minimum QPA of 2.0 and be enrolled full-time to be on the active roster.
