Coaching Staff

Head Coach - Tim Moyer Email

Bio: Tim grew up playing youth hockey in the Delaware Valley and high school hockey at Boyertown Area High School. Tim also played junior hockey for the Reading Rails and Valley Forge Minutemen during that time. After a broken leg and a few shoulder injuries prematurely ended his playing career he entered the coaching ranks. Tim graduated from Neumann University and after that spent six years coaching Tier 1 and Tier II hockey with local programs and also spent two years as an assistant with Downingtown West and two years with Boyertown Area High School, enjoying division championships and Flyers Cup births with both programs. Tim joined PSU Berks as an assistant in 2019 and is excited to be at the helm for the 2021 season.

Assistant Coach - Bryan Roth Email

Bio: Bryan played hockey growing up in the Pittsburgh area playing club hockey for the Central Pittsburgh Hockey Club and for Thomas Jefferson High School. He played 2 years of D2 college club hockey prior to transferring to Penn State University's main campus. He completed his competitive playing career with several seasons of professional inline hockey. Bryan started coaching while still playing and coached Thomas Jefferson’s JV and varsity teams for several seasons. Returning to coaching with his kids starting to play he has coached for the Valley Forge Colonials, Team Philadelphia, and Jr Flyers organizations. Bryan has also served as hockey director and varsity head coach for Boyertown school district winning divisional championships and competing for Flyers Cup as well as coaching for Phoenixville/Great Valley’s school programs.

 

Coaching Staff

Assistant Coach - Logan Morris Email

Bio: Logan grew up in South Central Pennsylvania and began playing competitive hockey in the DVHL with the Capital City Vipers. Wanting to take his abilities to the next level, Logan joined the York Devils 18AA team, becoming a captain and leading his team to a berth at the USAH National Championships. Upon finishing youth hockey, Logan came to Penn State Berks, where he was a three-year starter and the club president.

In 2018, Logan graduated and decided he wanted to give back to the sport he loved. He became an assistant coach for the Lancaster Firebirds U12 AA, coaching alongside his former Head Coach, Sandy Cohen. He also helped with individual lessons for both goalies and skaters. Three years later, Logan has returned to his alma mater, and cannot wait to begin rebuilding the organization.
