Ronnie's Boudin wins 2015 League Title...
Thursday night saw the end of the 2015 Red Stick Collegiate Baseball Summer season with Ronnie's taking a 6-3 win over Wi Sports at Pete Goldsby Field.
Wi Sports started the night with a 2-0 lead, scoring single runs in top of 1st and 2nd innings; but Ronnie's answered with 4 runs, highlighted by a 3 RBI double byPhillip Williams (SU) in the bottom of the 2nd to take a lead they would never relenquish. Wi Sports answered in the top of the 3rd when Brian Mills (ULL) sent a 2-1 pitch towering out of left center field and narrowed the margin to 4-3. Ronnie's would score two more runs in bottom of the 5th inning to take a 6-3 lead.
Ronnie's starter Corey Gaulden (LSUA) got the win after allowing all e runs by Wi. A strong combination of relief pitching from Aaron Johnson (ArkTech), Hunter Wallace (LSUA), and Chet Myer (LSUA) held Wi scoreless and helped seal the win.
