Bio:  Jordan is in the 5th grade at Morrish Public School.  Being born into a basketball family made it easy for him to fall in love with the game. He enjoys playing one on one against his dad, “breaking ankles” and of course NBA 2K. His basketball IQ and athleticism are well beyond his years. With his explosive first step he creates open lanes, and with his long frame draws contact, with a strong finish.  He’s confident that with hard work and God’s blessing he will achieve his dream of playing ball on the world’s greatest stage.

 

KEENAN EMMANUEL

Hometown: Mississauga, ON

Bio: Keenan is in the 5th grade and attends school in Mississauga. He started playing basketball at the age of 4 and has been working hard at mastering his craft ever since. His combination of his explosive first step and knockdown jump shot makes him nearly impossible to defend. He is often counted on to lock a player down on defence. He has received MVP two years in a row, most recently the CYBL MVP. He's dedicated to the classroom, basketball court, and gym with the NCAA and NBA in his sights. When Keenan is not on the court, he loves to read, play his PlayStation and hang out with his family.

NATHAN SPAULDING

Bio: Nathan is currently enrolled in the 5th grade at Joseph Brant Public School, where he plays on the grade 7 basketball team as the only 5th grader. Nathan is a natural Point Guard, with great foot work and handles. His vision of the court is beyond his years, making it easy to penetrate opposing defence and find open teammates. He has a good attention to detail defencively, producing easy points off steals. Away from the court, Nathan enjoys hanging out with his two older brothers and playing video games with my friends.

JORDAN MORGAN

Hometown:  Scarborough

Bio: Jordan is in Grade 5 and attends John G. Diefenbaker Public School.  Jordan has loved basketball since before he could walk. He started playing Rep in grade 3.  In Grade 4, Jordan played on his school's Grade 5 team and led his team to victory in the TDESSA championship game, with the game winning shot!  Jordan then joined Toronto City Elite and quickly became AAU champs in their first tournament together. In his first season playing CYBL, he was chosen to be an All Star.  He is currently on his Grade 6 school team and he also plays on a Filipino REP team. Jordan is the definition of a team player. His high basketball IQ and court vision is what makes him a true point guard. He is very coachable at any position, runs the plays and finds his teammates with ease. He also takes pride in defence and grabbing rebounds. On offence he is quick and fearless, driving the lane and getting the And 1. He evenly fills up the stat sheet with points, assists, rebounds, blocks and steals. He is an all around team player. His other interests include soccer and track and field.  Jordan went to Regionals for 100m sprint and City Finals for hurdles. He is an honor roll student who receives high grades in all his subjects, math being his favourite.  He is determined to achieve greatness both on the court and in the classroom, working towards an NCAA scholarship, in hopes of playing in the NBA.

JAIDEN PENNICOTT

Hometown: Ajax, ON

Bio: Jaiden is in the 5th grade and attends St. Isaac Jogues Catholic School, in Pickering Ontario, within the French stream. Jaiden is fluently bilingual in both official languages ( Writing, reading and speaking). Jaidens passion for basketball started before he could walk. At the age of 6 Jaiden was asked to play REP. a few of his accomplishments include: 2015-2016 “God-Given” talent award (school) , 2014-15, Durham Region Cross Country Champion, 2014-2015 800 meter Durham Region track & field champion, Member of the D1 Provincial Champions (OBA) team 2014-15, 2013-2014 U10 team MVP. He compares his handles to his favourtite player Kyrie Irving, with a personal style of Chris Paul, earning his nickname JP3. His mix of foot speed and ball handling makes him lethal on offence.  Through his favorite bible verse.. “ I can do all things, through Christ who strengthens me” He plans to leverage his athletic talent and academic drive for an NCAA Scholarship, and his shot at the NBA.

MIGUEL ANTONIO BRUAN

Hometown: Pickering, ON

Bio: Miguel is in the 5th grade and attends St. Wilfrid Catholic School in Pickering, Ontario. Miguel started playing basketball at the age of 10 and he is currently a member of his school basketball team. He also represented his school in Cross Country Division Meet and had won second place for three consecutive years. He has a big body presence both defensively and offensively, which helps create second chances. He has a strong attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Two of his greatest career aspirations are to play in the NBA and to become a Professional Engineer someday. Miguel is a homebody and enjoys watching his favorite shows and playing Xbox games.

RASHEED MACISAAC

Hometown: Scarborough, ON 

Bio: Rasheed is in the fifth grade and attends St. Rose of Lima Catholic elementary school. He started playing rep basketball at the age of 7. He works hard and brings a lot of energy to the lineup. His aggresive style of defence creates opportunities on offence. His foot speed and aggression allows him to penetrate the lanes. He has intentions of playing NCAA basketball in pursuit of playing in the NBA. Away from the court Rasheed enjoys playing all other sports he is currently the reigning offensive player of the year for his Scarborough Thunder atom team, he also loves cooking.

Bio: Matey is in the 6th grade and attends Deer Park Public School. He hopes to play for Duke one day. His favourite players are Dr. J, Pete Maravich and Karim-Abdul Jabbar. Away from the court Matey enjoys reading, playing football and XBox.
