Jared Beach

Head Coach & General Manager

Jared is the Head Coach and General Manager for the Philadelphia Flyers Junior Hockey Club. For the past 6 seasons, Jared has been the Head Coach for the Team Comcast Midget program, making three appearances at the USA Hockey National Tournament including a Silver Medal finish in 2009.

 

Over the past 10 years, Jared has helped over 90 players move on to the Division 1 level. Growing up and playing youth hockey in the tri-state area, Jared went on to play three years of New England Prep School hockey at the Gunnery, followed by two years of Junior A hockey in both Canada and the US. Jared finished off his Junior career as the captain of the Bay State Breakers of the EJHL, and recieved several offers to play Division 1 hockey before an injury prematurely ended his playing career.  

 

With more than 25 years of experience as a hockey player and coach, Jared possesses a unique perspective on the growing needs of today’s hockey player. Jared resides in Marlton, NJ with his wife, Courtney, and 2 year old son Brooks.

Rob Badger

Assistant Coach

Rob Badger brings over 20 years of experience to the Junior Philadelphia Flyers. He holds a Level 4 certification from USA Hockey with coaching modules completed in midget and bantam hockey.

 

Badger started his hockey career at Boston Metro. He then continued onto Division 1 hockey at University of Massachusetts – Lowell. Badger also gained professional hockey experience as his career expanded to the ECHL.

 

As a coach to the Squirt Minor and Midget U18’s of Team Comcast, he has accomplished 5 USA Hockey National Tournament appearances with 5 District Championships. Badger brings years of experience from all levels to give each player the tools necessary to succeed on the ice.

Derian Hatcher

Director of Player Development

Derian Hatcher played in the National Hockey League for 17 years.

 

He compiled 80 goals and 251 assists for 331 points and 1,581 penalty minutes in 1,045 regular season games for the Minnesota North Stars (1991-92 to 1992-93), Dallas Stars (1993-94 to 2002-03), Detroit Red Wings (2003-04) and Philadelphia Flyers (2005-06 to 2008-09).

 

Hatcher also recorded 33 points (7G,26A) and 248 penalty minutes in 133 career Stanley Cup Playoff games and was a member of Dallas' Stanley Cup Championship team in 1999 and is the only American-born player to captain a team to a Stanley Cup Championship. Hatcher was originally selected by Minnesota in the first round (eighth overall) of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft.

Kevin Neeld

Strength & Conditioning Coach, Manual Therapist

Kevin Neeld comes to the Philadelphia Flyers as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Licensed Massage Therapist, holding degrees in Kinesiology & Exercise Neuroscience, Health Behavior Science & Fitness Management, and Strength & Conditioning.

He brings experience working for USA Hockey, working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Women’s National Team, and currently serves as the Director of Athletic Development at Endeavor Sports Performance. 
Neeld is the author of Ultimate Hockey Training, and has also been published in many of the top print and web-based training resources. Kevin Neeld has combined his passion for both hockey and performance training by coaching, instructing, and training hockey players of all ages and levels.

Vyacheslav Kuznetsov

Skating Coach

Vyacheslav Kuznetsov was born and trained in Russia. He graduated from the Russia’s Academy of Physical Training in 1999.

 

Kuznetsov also acts as the skating coach for Team Comcast’s hockey club.

 

He has also coached on the professional level as the skating coach for the Philadelphia Flyers organization for the last seven years. He brings ten years of professional skating experience from around the world, and coaching power-skating to all levels, from youths to professionals.
