Internship Opportunities

While the following internship descriptions will be the main focus of each position, interns will have the opportunity to rotate through the different departments in order to gain a well-rounded sport management experience. Our preference is to hire college age students that have a desire to work in the sports industry!

START DATE/COMPLETION DATE:

  • May 16, 2022 through August 10, 2022

INTERNSHIP TITLES:

  • Marketing
  • Ticket Sales 
  • Ballpark Operations 
  • Broadcast Announcer

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Availability to work all home games and events
  • Must be a team player with strong leadership skills
  • Must be enthusiastic with a desire to work hard
  • Self‐ motivated and ability to take initiative
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets
  • Interns are required to work all 32 home games ranging from 10-12 hours per game
  • Office hours on non game days will be around 4 hours per day Monday-Friday
  • Interns will be required to assist in all areas of team operations as needed

COMPENSATION:

  • Monthly stipend
  • Housing provided

Internship Application

  • Marketing Intern

    Description of Responsibilities:
    • Brainstorm and implement marketing campaigns to promote the team brand at community events
    • Organize activities for each game, as well as special theme night promotions throughout the season
    • On-field host for all on field promotions and fan engagement activities
    • Organize execution of all sponsor promotions
    • Schedule special events and mascot/player appearances
    • Other duties as assigned

    Ticket Sales Intern

    Description of Responsibilities:
    • Contact sales leads to generate ticket sales through season tickets, group outings, and flex plans
    • Manage customer service and ticketing issues
    • Work in box office on game nights, assisting fans with walk-up sales
    • Cash management and reconciliation of point of sale registers
    • Manage team merchandise inventory and sales
    • Other duties as assigned

    Ballpark Operations Intern

    Description of Responsibilities:
    • Schedule and oversee gameday staff in the food and beverage areas
    • Receive and manage inventory of all food and beverage
    • Manage sell price and cost of goods in the point of sale system
    • Schedule pre and post game meals for home and away teams 
    • Create opposing team itinerary for each home series 
    • Fill water coolers for both teams
    • Other duties as assigned

    Broadcast Announcer

    Description of Responsibilities:

    • Broadcast all 64 games throughout the season, including playoffs (If necessary)
    • Travel and stay with the team on the road
    • Compile daily stats for each position player and pitcher
    • Work on production of player videos/podcasts
    • Update the team website daily
