The YCBC fields teams with the aim of competing strongly against other teams in the province. This means we select the best players in a given age group and place them in tiered peer group teams. This peer grouping allows coaches to focus on level-appropriate development for both the players and the team, which raises the bar for everyone involved.
We want as many kids as possible to love the sport and experience the thrill of competition, so we will field as many tiers as there players and coaches to fill those teams. Don't be discouraged if you don't make the Tier 1 team - players are placed in the tier that allows the best development opportunities!
