THE OFFICIAL HOME OF THE CHAR-LAN REBELS

EXECUTIVE

Benoit Veilleux, of Lancaster, is the current Vice-President and Secretary of the Rebels. He was born in Montreal and grew up in Varennes Quebec. He attended high school at La Polyvalente De Mortagne, in Boucherville, Quebec. Outside of his responsibilities with the team, Ben teaches at St. Lawrence College in Cornwall, and has his own private practice dealing in counseling and sports psychology. He is married to his wife Stacey and has three children: Kevin, 21; Vicky, 19; and Phillip, 15. Ben has been a minor hockey coach for many years, and is the owner of Performance Hedquarters. Community sports have always been a passion for him, so being a part of the Rebels ownership team seemed like the next step. He hopes to bring a successful hockey franchise to the community, and enjoys working with friends and family while doing so.

Tim Ming is the Treasurer for the Rebels this season. He grew up in London, Ontario and now lives in Williamstown with his wife Valerie and his sons Max, Eric, and Andrew. Besides being an important part of the Rebels, he is a certified financial planner and owns his own financial planning business. When he was approached with the idea of co-owning the Rebels, the decision came easy to him. He is happy to keep the team in the community, and loves seeing more and more people in the stands as well as the players becoming more successful.

George Lang, one of the Directors this season, grew up and currently lives in Williamstown. He attended Char-Lan District High School, where he met his wife Carolyn, with whom he now has two sons and a daughter. Along with his Rebels work, George also owns a recycling company that focuses on recycling plastics. Growing up, George attended countless Rebels games, and while he didn’t play himself, he was friends with many players. When he heard the team was for sale he wanted to be a part of the ownership to preserve the memories he had of the team as a teenager and to help create more for generations to come. As an owner, he looks forward to game nights, seeing fans in the stands, and getting together with his friends and co-owners to help bring the Rebels to success.
