This past Saturday, the Pirates had their first home game of the season, where they took on High Point University in the first league game of the year. What started as a very close and competitive game driven by physicality, the pirates kept the pressure on the whole game and finally was able to run away with the game late in the third. Pirate goals were scored by Justin Hess (2), Cameron Gross, Ben Kellman, Carter Cassucio, and Drew Kiriloff whom scored his first collegiate goal. The game was physical and fast but the prates controlled the play for most of the game which lead to their 6-2 win. Special thoughts and prayers go out to the ECU and high point players injured, and a speedy recovery to all. The pirates aren't home again until November 15th, but catch them next weekend up in Chesapeake, Va at Chilled Ponds ice arena as they take on conference rivals American University and Radford University.
