Lorain County hands Xenia a loss, wins third straight
Lorain, Ohio — Some days everything just seems to click, and hitting, fielding, and pitching just seem like second nature on the diamond. Tuesday’s 12-3 loss to the Lorain County Iron Men was not one of those days.
The team was held to four hits and three runs, only one of which was earned. The Scouts were stymied all game long and they just couldn’t get their rhythm going.
Will Kruse lost for the first time this season going 5 2/3 innings and giving up 10 hits and 5 earned runs. Ben Aldridge, Thomas Waning, and Joe Chasen all came in for relief to finish out the game.
Wyatt Hogan was one of the few bright spots for the Scouts. The first basemen went 1-3 on the game and had the team’s only RBI. Hogan believes that even though the team was disappointed today, the team will be ready for the Wednesday night rematch.
“We want to play those guys again,” Hogan said
The Scouts (8-3) have still yet to lose back-to-back games this season. The Iron Men move to (3-4) on the year and have won three straight.
