Both the Lima Locos (28-12) and the Lake Erie Monarchs (16-25) put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the Lima Locos that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-2 win at Simmons Field.

Kevin Woodall Jr racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Lima Locos. He doubled in the eighth inning.

Connor Curlis pitched lights out for the Lima Locos. The Lake Erie Monarchs managed just one hit off of Curlis, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his three innings of work.

A bright spot for the Lake Erie Monarchs in the defeat was Michael Stafford, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.

Tyler Whitbread ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked four, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
