2021 GLSCL All-Star teams announced

TROY, Ohio - The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League is proud to announce the selections to the 2021 All-Star game on July 20 at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio.

 

All 14 teams are represented with the two rosters divided representing the North and South Divisions. Each all-star team roster is comprised of two players per position and nine pitchers each throwing one inning during the game.

 

The Sandusky Bay Ice Haulers and the Hamilton Joes earned the honor of having the most selections with each having seven all-stars. The all-stars were selected in a process that included feedback from representatives of all 14 teams.

 

There is also a group of alternates that have been selected to be available as replacements in case of an injury.

 

All of the players selected, both all-stars and alternates, will participate in a showcase on the turf field at Prasco in front of major league scouts that will be in attendance. The showcase will begin at 2pm.

 

The game is scheduled to be played on the main field at Prasco Park with the first pitch at 7:05pm. The event is free of charge to the public and there will also be a host of food trucks available for the convenience of everyone in attendance.

 

 

ABOUT THE GREAT LAKES SUMMER COLLEGIATE LEAGUE 

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, founded in 1986 playing its first season in 1987, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The league currently consists of 14 active franchises in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana boasting several players that have earned service time in major league baseball.
