NAVY DEFEATS MAIZE IN THRILLING ALUMNI GAME
The University of Michigan Flint Men's Hockey Alumni game was a huge success on January 13th at Crystal Fieldhouse in Burton, MI. Over 30 alumni players took the ice in front of a crowd to represent their maize and blue colors once again.
After the game, friends and family joined the alumni for a wonderfully catered dinner. Players reconnected with former teammates and shared many stories of their favorite times as a hockey player at U of M Flint.
Despite a lopsided score (12-7 Navy) both teams stayed to cheer on the current U of M Flint hockey team as they took on the Knights of Calvin College. The game went to overtime but ended in a tie. U of M Flint Men's Hockey took 3 of 4 possible points on the weekend.
Players & coaches are already looking forward to next season's alumni game!
The U of M Flint Men's Hockey team would like to thank friends and families who attended both games. We also wish to extend a special thanks to the U of M Flint Recreation Center and U of M Flint Alumni Relations for hosting such a phenomenal event!
