About the Indiana Collegiate Hockey Conference

Mission Statement

The Indiana Collegiate Hockey Conference facilitates and fosters competitive, academic and operational excellence for its member institutions through the club sport of ice hockey. The conference supports a culture of professionalism and integrity all while creating a positive experience for the student-athletes and academic institutions it serves.

Founded in 2014, the Indiana Collegiate Hockey Conference (ICHC) is a collegiate hockey conference based in the North region of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). The original founding universities: Indiana University, Purdue University, Indiana University-Purdue University at Fort Wayne (IPFW), and Ball State University founded this conference to give hockey players in Indiana and the Midwest a gateway to continue to play competitive hockey at the collegiate level. Butler University joined the conference in 2016, Eastern Kentucky beginning in 2017 and Miami University and Trine University in 2018.

Regular season play for the ICHC begins the second weekend of February when all of the teams meet to compete in the ICHC Showcase. In 2014, IPFW hosted the inaugural ICHC Showcase at Canlan Ice Sports in Fort Wayne, IN. In 2016, Xavier played host at the historic Cincinnati Gardens.

The culmination of the ICHC season is the annual Crossroads Cup, which will take place in February 2018.  This year’s Crossroads Cup will be hosted by Trine University.
