AB Ryan JV beats OHara JV 5-4 after comeback scare

AB Ryan JV survived a determined comeback attempt by OHara JV on the way to a 5-4 win.

AB Ryan JV made the score 5-3 on a goal by David Lee at 13:51 in the third period, and OHara JV got as close as 5-4 when Zac Deemer scored 14:37 into the third period.

AB Ryan JV stifled OHara JV's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

AB Ryan JV was led by Josh Davis, who had three goals. AB Ryan JV also got a goal from Kevin McCarthy as well. In addition, AB Ryan JV received assists from Stephen Pettit, who had two.

OHara JV was led by John Ahearn, who registered two goals. Ahearn scored the first of his two goals at 8:32 into the first period to make the score 2-1 OHara JV. Phil Melito provided the assist. Ahearn's next tally made the score 3-3 with 15:51 left in the third period. Melito assisted on the tally. Liam Rodee also scored for OHara JV. More assists for OHara JV came via Jacob Pohlig and Cody Sharpe, who contributed one each.

Fran McClain recorded 25 saves for AB Ryan JV. AB Ryan JV incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors and had no power play opportunities. Angelo Losardo made 24 saves for OHara JV on 29 shots. OHara JV avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of four power plays.
