2nd Annual Zack Downey Memorial Tournament: Sept. 17-20, 2015
The second annual Zack Downey Memorial Tournament will commence at Layritz Field tomorrow (Sept. 17th) and runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Premier Division games will be held at Layritz Midget Field, while the new Bantam Division will play at the Layritz Bantam Field. Concession will be in operation at the Premier Midget field.
Billets are needed! The White Rock Team requires host families to take in players over the weekend commencing on Friday. These players will require transportation to and from the field and perhaps a meal or two. If you can help with this please contact Tammy Lata at (250) 216-1851 as soon as possible!
Come on out for some great fall baseball and help the Mariner Family honour the life and memory of their teammate and friend, Zack Downey. A special dedication ceremony will be held just prior to the Premier championship game on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the Midget field.
