2016 Opening and Dedication
The Victoria Mariners held an opening ceremony and dedication on Friday, April 15 2016. Since the three teams of the Mariner family were to be in different cities opening weekend, the club parted from the normal tradition of a ceremony plus opening games in lue of something special. The Mariner family got together at Henderson park to unveil a new plaque in memory of Mariner player Zach Downey. The club also welcomed the new Bantam team into the family.
