Meet the 2021 Monarchs: Sharkas and Taylor

ADRIAN, MI: The Michigan Monarchs will once again continue a strong relationship with the Eastern Michigan baseball program in 2021. Outfielder Anthony Sharkas and infielder Cory Taylor will have the opportunity to hone their skills with the Monarchs in the GLSCL’s upcoming campaign.
Anthony Sharkas, currently a sophomore at EMU, has participated in 21 career contests for the Eagles. He was a three-time letter winner and two-time captain for the Plymouth High School baseball program during his high school days. Freshman Cory Taylor is studying Exercise Science at EMU. He broke onto the diamond for a total of four games during his first season for the Eagles. Taylor was a four-year letter winner for the Shelbyville High School baseball program in Indiana before attending EMU. The Michigan Monarchs take on the Jet Box next Friday, June 4th, to commence the 2021 season. The Monarchs open up their home slate the next evening on June 5th against the Muskegon Clippers at Siena Heights.
The Michigan Monarchs enter their 20th Season in 2021. The Monarchs are proud members of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. The Monarchs have qualified for the National Baseball Congress World Series a total of 4 times.
