This week it's all about getting to the playoffs and then the playoffs themselves for a few leagues. Let’s get to it!

Five for Friday

Medicine Hat Tigers at Lethbridge Hurricanes, Western Hockey League – I’m thinking the ‘Canes are going to stay focused for this one. Lethbridge wins.

Hamilton Bulldogs at Ottawa 67’s, Ontario Hockey League – Ottawa can’t afford a letdown now. 67’s win.

Dubuque Fighting Saints at Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, United States Hockey League – Who’s number 1 and who wants to be there? Cedar Rapids wins at home.

Wenatchee Wild at Chilliwack Chiefs, British Columbia Hockey League – So the journey continues. Chase Perry is red-hot between the pipes…that’s not good news for the home team. Wild win on the road.

Odessa Jackalopes at Topeka RoadRunners, North American Hockey League – It’s done. Rabbit stew anyone? Topeka wins.

7th Day 7

Bismarck Bobcats at Brookings Blizzard, North American Hockey League – Do the Bobcats really want the division title or not? We find out tonight. Bismarck wins.

Odessa Jackalopes at Topeka RoadRunners, North American Hockey League – It’s over. Rabbit stew times two? Topeka wins…again.

Soo Eagles at Soo Thunderbirds, Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League – Thunderbirds will be looking to end this one quickly. Canadian Soo wins.

Wichita Jr Thunder at Springfield Express, Western States Hockey League – Having my daughter sing the national anthem worked out pretty good for Hampton Roads (USPHL Elite Champions) so it’s no wonder Jeremy Law wanted us in Missouri this weekend for her to sing again. Road Trip as Express win (and advance).

Wisconsin Whalers at LaCrosse Freeze, North American 3 Hockey League – Only two points separated these teams in the regular season standings…that goes out the window in the playoffs. Freeze win.

New York Aviators at Jersey Shore Wildcats, North American 3 Hockey League – New York wins. Mike Stanaway's team has way too many weapons again.

Bellingham Blazers at Eugene Generals, Northern Pacific Hockey League – Blazers are on a collision course with Wenatchee. Bellingham wins.

Stephen Heisler has spent a lifetime in the game of hockey. Now semi-retired and working with individual teams, coaches, and players as a consultant, he spends most of his time in Florida with his family.
