Lakefield downs Uxbridge, 5-2

Colton Armstrong racked up two points to lead the Lakefield Chiefs to a 5-2 victory over the Uxbridge Bruins.

Lakefield was held back by its power play unit, which tallied one goal on nine chances.

Lakefield additionally got points from Eric Oosting, who also registered one goal and one assist and Jack Vautour, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Lakefield also had goals scored by Josh Duggan and Riley Campbell, who scored one goal each. More assists for Lakefield came via Jayd Killingbeck and Keenan Runnalls, who each chipped in one.

Uxbridge was helped by Patrick Bolahood, who finished with one goal. Bolahood scored 5:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Uxbridge. Aiden Reilly picked up the assist. Uxbridge also got a goal from Daryl Thomson as well. In addition, Uxbridge received assists from Marco Mastrangelo and Nicholas Sribny, who contributed one each.

The Chiefs' Scott Smith stopped 13 shots out of the 15 that he faced. Lakefield incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Branden Francey made 25 saves for the Bruins on 29 shots. Uxbridge incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
