Team GTHL Blue uses shootout to best Team GTHL Red, 5-4 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Team GTHL Blue defeated Team GTHL Red in a shootout 5-4 (1-0 SO).
The shootout lasted for nine attempts between the teams.
Team GTHL Blue's offense rang up 45 shots on Team GTHL Red's net. Team GTHL Blue could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game.
Team GTHL Blue was led by Jesse Tucker, who racked up one goal and one assist. Tucker scored on the power play 18:05 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Team GTHL Blue. Team GTHL Blue had gotten the advantage when Team GTHL Red's Michael Little was sent off for boarding. Tyler Tucker picked up the assist. Team GTHL Blue additionally got points from Tucker, who also registered one goal and one assist and Akil Thomas, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Team GTHL Blue also got a goal from Jackson Alexeev as well. In addition, Team GTHL Blue received assists from Kevin Bahl, who had one and Ryan Merkley, who had three.
Team GTHL Blue was unable to stop Team GTHL Red from sending pucks towards the net, and Team GTHL Red eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Team GTHL Red was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to two goals off of 10 man advantages. Team GTHL Red found itself short handed often, totaling 20 penalty minutes and allowing nine power plays.
Team GTHL Red was led by Allan McShane, who had four goals. Other players who recorded assists for Team GTHL Red were Giovanni Vallati, Dylan Bond, Pierre Luc Cote-Forget, and Travis Mailhot, who contributed one each.
Christian Mattiace rejected 30 shots on goal for Team GTHL Blue. Joshua Eisfeld made 40 saves for Team GTHL Red on 44 shots.
