Team ALLIANCE Pulls Ahead in the Second for a 6-2 Win Over Team NOHA
Kitchener, Ont. – Team ALLIANCE sends four home in the second period for a 6-2 win over Team NOHA in the last game of day 2 at the OHL Gold Cup at Activa Sportsplex in Kitchener.
Team ALLIANCE made the first move, Cayden Faust scoring from Nicholas Beneteau, Landon McCallum. However, Mitchell Martin answered back for Team NOHA from Chase Stillman before the end of the first period.
Team ALLIANCE pulled ahead in the second, scoring four and holding NOHA. Deni Goure scoring the tiebreaker from Ryan Burke, Brett Harrison. Near two minutes later Maddox Callens got his first of the game from Raymond Hamlin, Cooper Way. Shortly after Marko Sikic put home one of his own from Steven Laforme, Braeden Bowman. And with only 20 seconds left in the frame, Cayden Faust got his second of the game from Landon McCallum, Luc Brzustowski.
Brett Harrison sent home a power play marker from Sam Sedley, Michael Simpson in the third period. And Chase Stillman had the last word, scoring for Team NOHA with 40 seconds from Devon Savignac, Christopher Innes to go to place the final score at 6-2 in favour of Team ALLIANCE.
Players of the Game was Chase Stillman for Team NOHA and Cayden Faust for Team ALLIANCE.

As part of the Hockey Canada Program of Excellence (POE), players competing at the OHL Gold Cup have an opportunity to be evaluated for invitation to the national under-17 development camp, where Hockey Canada gathers the top talent from across the country to introduce players to the national team program and provide a foundation of development as they progress through the POE.
