Team ALLIANCE Punches their Ticket to the Bronze Medal Game
Kitchener, Ont. – Team ALLIANCE punches their ticket to the bronze medal game with a 3-2 over Team OMHA Black.
Cayden Faust gave Team ALLIANCE the early lead – and held as the only goal of the frame from Landon McCallum, Sam Sedley.
Team OMHA Black answered back early in the second thanks to Ethan Lindsay from Sean Mateer to tie it up.Team ALLIANCE took back the lead shortly after with a goal by Maddox Callens from Marko Sikic.
Ryan Burke sealed the win for Team ALLIANCE taking advantage of a power play scoring from Deni Goure, Brett Harrison to make it 3-1.
Shots were 35-16 in favour of Team ALLIANCE.
Players of the game were Cooper Way for Team ALLIANCE and Ethan Lindsay for Team OMHA Black.

The OHL Gold Cup is an annual showcase event featuring top under-16 talent in Ontario. As part of the Hockey Canada Program of Excellence (POE), players competing at the OHL Gold Cup have an opportunity to be evaluated for invitation to the national under-17 development camp, where Hockey Canada gathers the top talent from across the country to introduce players to the national team program and provide a foundation of development as they progress through the POE.
