The Piedmont Pride beat up on the Carolina Vipers, 15-5

The Piedmont Pride (30-7) continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 15-5 landslide win over the Carolina Vipers (23-13) at Charlotte Latin.

The Piedmont Pride scored four runs in the third on the Piedmont Pride scored in the third on an error, a two-run single by Jonathan Embry, a double by Trey Logan, , and a sacrifice fly by Justin Sparks.

Chandler Redmond racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Piedmont Pride. He homered in the fourth inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and singled in the eighth and ninth innings.

Bowe Behymer was solid at the plate for the Carolina Vipers. Behymer went 3-5 and scored one run. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the first and eighth innings.

Daniel Sweeney recorded his third win of the year for the Piedmont Pride. He allowed two runs over five innings. Sweeney struck out three, walked three and gave up six hits.

Kyle Peterson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked six and struck out four.
