Not only is George Jacob new to Abington Ice Hockey this season, he's a new recruit to the wonderful sport of ice hockey. George started the season as a 'practice player' as he got the hang of the ice and the game, but worked his way into games quicker than anyone expected.

George is a junior that likes his American History classes and he hopes to attend East Stroudsburg University after he graduate from Abington. He listens to hip hop and also plays baseball. His celebrity crush is Kate Upton and his favorite NHLer is Steven Stamkos.

George was too new to the sport to have a favorite hockey memory, but perhaps now it's that first shift in his first game. He might be the only player on the roster that has realized his personal goal for the season, because that was improving and getting to play in some games! George really likes Monday night practices and the Abbypuck player that he admires most is Luke DeCristofano because "he's a beast."

We look forward to watching George continue to develop his game throughout his senior year and appreciate his tenacity and grit in beginning this hockey journey his junior year!
