Cody Strong
On December 28th, members of the Seton Hall Ice Hockey Program participated in a special charity game for local hockey player, Will Cody. Early in 2016, Will was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Annually, the Cody Strong for a Cure Foundation and The New Jersey Colts Youth hockey organization host a charity hockey game to raise awareness and funds to help support Will and his family.
Freshman Ryne Herzfeld commented after the game “The game brought people together who share the love for hockey, but more importantly, people who want to help a child overcome a horrific illness. No child should ever have to battle cancer, but he’s a tough hockey player. Definitely tougher than me. If anybody can beat cancer, it’s Will Cody.”
"It was a fun game to play in and it was awesome to see so many people come to support Will Cody" said Sophomore Jeremy Grabiec after the festivities. The event truly shows the strength of the New Jersey hockey community.
