EVANS COMMITS TO PRINCETON
St. Michael's Buzzers rookie forward Finn Evans (photo credit - Kevin Sousa/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Princeton University Tigers beginning with the 2018-19 ECAC season.
The 16-year old Toronto, Ontario native joined the Buzzers this past season out of the Mississauga Rebels Minor Midget 'AAA' organization, having previously played with the Toronto Nationals program. After registering 43 points in 65 games for the Rebels, Evans was selected by the London Knights in the 3rd round, 60th overall, of the 2015 OHL Priority Selection, but chose the NCAA option. That summer, he was a member of Team GTHL Blue, notching three points in four games as they captured the OHL Gold Cup tournament.
During the 2015-16 season, Evans recorded 8 goals and 19 points in 51 regular season games for the Buzzers, helping them earn a post-season berth in the South-West Conference. He was most productive during the club's first round loss to the South Division champion Oakville Blades, finishing fourth on the club in scoring with four points in five playoff contests.
