Alumni Taylor McConnell Commits to Midland University
The Lake Tahoe Blue are proud to announce that alumni Taylor McConnell has committed to attend Midland University.
Taylor “Squeaks” McConnell was traded to the Blue last season from the Southern Oregon Spartans. McConnell is a character player with championship experience. Combined with a work habit and commitment for excellence, no one in the Blue organization is surprised by this announcement.
“I am incredibly happy and proud of “Squeaks” as well as his parents. I can see Taylor becoming a coach one day after he is done with his playing career,” former General Manager Chris Collins said in an interview. “I could not be more proud of Taylor, congratulations!”
“This just goes to show you that hard work does pay off,” Head Coach Mike Richardson said. “I never got the chance to work with Taylor, but our organization is a family, and I am proud that we have another family member continuing his hockey career while attaining an education.”
