Philadelphia Flyers Junior Hockey Team Forward makes Division I commitment
Philadelphia Flyers Junior Hockey Team forward Gregg Burmaster today committed to attend and play hockey for the Colorado College Tigers of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).
Burmaster has truly earned his way into this Division I institution on the ice this season. He leads the Flyers in assists with 27, which paired with his 9 goals are enough to rank him third on the team and sixth in the USPHL in scoring with 36 points. Gregg has been a key contributor to the Flyers’ potent powerplay, as he has managed to net a team-high four goals, while adding three assists.
Gregg had the following statements regarding his commitment to Colorado College. “I feel honored to have the opportunity to play and start a new chapter in my life at Colorado College. New head coach Mike Haviland has the team heading in the right direction, as the program will only get better from here. His track record and past successes can surely prove that.” In addition to his excitement regarding his commitment, Gregg also wanted to make sure to thank all those involved in his success. “I want to thank the Flyers organization and coaching staff, as well as my family, because I would not be here if it was not for them.”
Head Coach Jared Beach was ecstatic when reached for comment on the Burmaster commitment, stating that “we are very excited for Gregg and the opportunity that awaits him at Colorado College. As a hard-nosed power forward, Gregg brings consistent effort each and every night. He has been a significant contributor for us in every situation so far, and we expect his strong play to continue in the second half of the season. Next fall, Colorado College is getting a great player as well as a great person.”
Gregg has proven to be an extremely valuable asset to a Flyers squad that currently sits atop the USPHL standings, and will surely be a tremendous addition to a Colorado College this coming Fall. The Philadelphia Flyers organization would like to congratulate Gregg on his commitment.
