Flyers Forward Greco Commits to Boston College

The Philadelphia Flyers USPHL Premier Hockey Club is proud to announce that forward Ron Greco has committed to attend and play hockey for Boston College in the fall of 2016.  

Playing on the top line, Greco led the team with 57 points and 41 assists this past season.  He also scored 16 goals, including a team leading six game winning goals. Greco finishes this season as the all-time leading scorer in USPHL Flyers history, posting 54 goals and 100 assists for 154 points in 153 games played over three seasons.

“We are extremely proud of Ron and his decision to attend and play hockey at Boston College.” said Head Coach Jared Beach.  “As our captain last season, and a three year member of our team, Ron epitomizes Flyer hockey. He plays a true 200ft game, and is equally impressive in the defensive zone as he is in the offensive zone. His compete level on a day to day basis really set the tone for our organization over the past few years. Greco's combination of speed and skill made him one of the toughest guys in our league to play against. Ron will be a great addition to for the Eagles, and we wish him the best of luck over the next four years.”

Boston College plays in the Hockey East conference and is a Division I NCAA program. This past season, Boston College made the Frozen Four for the 25th time, which is most in NCAA history. Currently, Boston College has 17 alumni playing in the NHL, including 2014 Hobey Baker Memorial Award winner and Calgary  Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau.

Ron has been an important part of the Philadelphia Flyers Junior Hockey Team’s success the past three years, and the team wishes Ron well for a continuation of a fantastic hockey career.
