Anderson's One-Hitter Leads Jacks to Victory
GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Wheat City Whiskey Jacks defeated the Sioux Falls Sunfish 3-0, led by Jake Anderson’s one-hit performance Thursday. Anderson (3-7, 6.60 ERA) struck out eight batters in his 14thappearance of the season. Sunfish pitcher Andrew Garcia (7-2, 3.03 ERA) was assigned the loss, giving up three runs on six innings pitched, while striking out twelve batters.
Whiskey Jacks center fielder Houston Fogelstrom collected his 6th homerun of the season, along with three RBI, finishing tonight’s game 2-for-3. Designated hitter Parker Stroh collected his third double of the season, finishing 1-for-3 in Thursday’s ballgame. Third baseman Jaxon Sorenson finished 2-for-3. Third baseman Norris McClure was the sole hit for Sunfish, finishing 1-for-2.
The Whiskey Jacks (24-37) have won three straight games and will begin a two-game series against the Spearfish Sasquatch Friday.
