Welcome to the Fresno Men’s Baseball League
Founded in 1991, the Fresno Men’s Baseball League has been providing adult players of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to play competitive baseball in a well organized and enjoyable environment for over 26 years.
The Fresno Men’s Baseball League is affiliated with National MSBL Inc. www.msblnational.com The national organization features players 18 to 70+ years of age, from the recreational player to the ex-college & pro player. Started in 1988 with 60 players, National MSBL has 325 local affiliates, 3,200 teams and 45,000 members who play organized amateur baseball in local leagues, 30 regional tournaments and six national tournaments. Both the MSBL and the MABL plan to expand by establishing local affiliates in communities where programs do not exist, and also by welcoming existing amateur hardball leagues to affiliate.
The local Fresno Men’s Baseball League (FMBL) averages about 22 teams with three age divisions and over 350 players that reside from Tulare to Merced. The league plays on the high school varsity fields in Fresno, Hanford and Madera. The FMBL contracts with the most professional umpiring crews available to assure enjoyable, high quality, and competitive games.
The local 2020 FMBL had to be canceled due to covid. The 2021 season, when fields are obtained will form teams in 3 Divisions, 18+, 45+(Pitchers must be 50+),and 50+ age groups.
Aside from a few rule changes, FMBL conforms to standard baseball rules and features Major League style uniforms, carefully kept stats, and 9-inning games played once a week on Sundays.
Our League mission is to provide players 18 to 70+, who love the game, an opportunity to play baseball in a fun, competitive, and well organized environment. Our hope is that the experience will extend beyond the white lines to help open doors to new friendships, associations, and opportunities while providing a lifetime of baseball enjoyment.
It is the policy of the officers and players of the FMBL to maintain the highest standard of ethics and personal behavior while conducting our league activities and while participating in competitive games.
