How to Join

Sign up to play by filling out the form on our Contact Us page.

You have two ways you can join the FMBL. You can form a team or join as an individual player.

1. Tryouts / Draft (Tryouts are done see #3)
Sign up on the Contact Us page. We will try to place everyone on a team. If not, the FMBL may hold a workout and draft in January 2020. Location, date, and time will be posted on our website if it is needed. If not placed on a team, you have to show up for the workout to be eligible for the draft although the workout is optional. The team managers will observe the workout and hold a draft to select players. We try to get everyone assigned to a team. Those players who are not selected will be put in a player pool. Teams who lose players to injury or other reasons can draw from the player pool to fill in their rosters.

2. Form Your Own Team
Put together your own team and join the 18+ division, 45+ division, or the 50+ division. Minimum roster size is 15 players. You must notify the league by January 5th each year of your intention to add a team to the league so we can plan schedules and field usage. Teams must have 12 player fees in at $240 per player by February 24th. The player fee after that date is $270. Each player receives two tickets to a Fresno Grizzlies game.

Each team has the ability to sign new players on their own. If you know someone in the league or just contact one of the team managers, you can simply join a team as a free agent without going through the league tryout process. It is up to each team manager whether to sign a free agent player or not.

3. Player Pool
Once the season starts, you can contact the league e-mail and the commissioner will place you in the League Player Pool. Inevitably teams run short of players during the season due to injury or other reasons and need to fill in their roster. Players will be assigned to teams on a first come, first served basis at a prorated fee.
