South Bay Storm Youth Academy

Established in 2013, the South Bay Storm have spent the past 7 years operating as a summer collegiate baseball team. Starting in 2019, the organization has decided to bring their wealth of knowledge and experience to the youth level, forming the South Bay Storm Baseball Academy

Founded by Richard Ruiz & Marc Caviglia, the Storm college teams have given over 200 student athletes the ability to compete at the college level while earning their academic degree. The organization has helped over many of those student athletes earn a college baseball scholarship.

The Storm Baseball Academy will offer year round travel baseball teams for kids ages 10 and over. Players will be drawn from all over the South Bay Area and surrounding areas.

Those who choose to be involved with the South Bay Storm Baseball Academy will get one of the more advanced youth experiences in the area. Players will have their velocity measured off of the bat and off of the mound as well as learn movement patterns through practices that help to increase these numbers. Initial evaluation will be done when the player first arrives and will be tracked throughout his or her time in the program. The South Bay Storm strives to create better baseball players and we want to be able to give our players direct feedback into how they are progressing with the data we provide. Your children will be in a quality environment to see their skills grow as they learn.

Try-outs are mandatory to play on Storm in the Fall. If you cannot make the try-out please email us @ sbstormacademy@gmail.com to set up a time and date to have your child try-out.
