THUNDERBOLTS ANNOUNCE 2017-18 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE

September 8, 2017
12:20 PM CDT

Evansville Thunderbolts announced today this season’s promotional schedule.  Evansville’s 28-home game schedule at Ford Center will include five specialty jersey nights, four giveaway nights and more.

Evansville’s season kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 21 when the Peoria Rivermen descend onto Ford Center, presented by E is for Everyone.  Opening Night highlights the first promotion of the year!  The Thunderbolts will be handing out free magnet schedules to fans as they come in through the doors.

Other giveaways include youth jerseys on Saturday, Dec. 9, a collectible bobblehead on Friday, March 16 and an official 2017-18 team poster for Fan Appreciation Night on Friday, April 6.

The team will be wearing special theme night jerseys for five games this season.  Fright Night on Saturday, Oct. 28 will feature a fire and brimstone jersey to haunt fans.  New this year is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Night on Saturday, Dec. 2, which will feature a TMNT-themed jersey.  Star Wars returns to Ford Center on Saturday, Jan. 20 with a frigid Hoth-inspired jersey (Empire Strikes Back).  Super Hero Night is back on Saturday, Feb. 24, with a jersey that would make the god of lightning and thunder proud.  Finally, Old Time Hockey on Saturday, March 24 is set to be the game where we auction off our red throwback jerseys, which the team will only be wearing for five games this year.  All specialty jerseys will be auctioned off following their respective games.

Military Night on Friday, Nov. 17 is a time for the organization to pay its respects and honor those who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces.  It’s also a time for the city to remember its contribution to the war effort during WWII, when Evansville was home to a P-47 Thunderbolts’ manufacturer. All servicemen and women will receive one free ticket — with a valid military ID — and friends and family can receive a ticket for only $5!

New Year’s Eve will be one to remember as the Thunderbolts will be setting off fireworks on the ice following the game!  This season will also mark the return of wiener dog races at Ford Center on Saturday, Jan. 27.

Season tickets are as low as $11 per game.  To order your tickets for next season, call 812-422-BOLT.
