Game 1

The Mystic Schooners fell to the Upper Valley Nighthawks in the first game 2-0 despite a fantastic performance from starting pitcher Connor Lewis. Lewis went all seven innings of the double header's opening game, allowing just one earned run and three hits, while striking out one over just 25 batters faced. 

It was a tough day offensively for Mystic as they recorded just five hits in the game, all of which were singles. Center fielder Tommy Jew, designated hitter Andruw Gazzola, left fielder Cam Johnson, catcher Matt O'Neill, and shortstop Garet Griffin all recorded one apiece in the first contest of the double header. 

Game 2

Mystic dropped their seventh straight in game two of the double header against the Upper valley Nighthawks. The Schooners made a huge comeback attempt in the final inning, scoring two runs but while stranding the tying run at third base. 

Justin Cashman started the game for the Schooners. He went just 1.2 innings with four hits and three runs allowed. Cashman did also record two strikeouts on the day. Jared Gallagher, Turner French, Buddy Dewaine Jr. took the hill for the Schooners as well. The trio went 4.1 innings while allowing six hits and just one run with three strikeouts. 

At the plate Mystic's third basemen John Trousdale and catcher Kaleb Foster were the top performers. Trousdale was two for four on the day with an RBI while Foster was two for three one run scored.
