Meet the Waves - Taylor Luciani

Right-handed pitcher Taylor Luciani from Berlin, Connecticut will begin his first season with the Ocean State Waves this summer. Luciani is in his sophomore season at Quinnipiac University.
Taylor has made three starts for the Bobcats so far this season, earning a 2-1 record with a 4.26 ERA in 19 innings. His two wins have come on the road against Appalachian State and Virginia Tech. In both games, Luciani went at least six innings and allowed just two earned runs. On March 8, Luciani was named MAAC Pitcher of the Week after his performance against Virginia Tech. The win over the Hokies was the first for Quinnipiac over an ACC opponent since 2004.
In 2015, Luciani made 15 appearances for the Bobcats, three of those being starts. In 45.1 innings on the mound, Taylor went 2-3 with a 4.57 ERA. His two victories came against Manhattan and NJIT.
Luciani attended Northwest Catholic High School where he was a two-year letter winner and was named an All-Conference performer as a senior.
Taylor is majoring in Finance.
