LYNN, MA - For the first time ever, an Ocean State broadcaster will represent the Eastern Division at the 2023 New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) All-Star Game.

Nathan Robillard will work alongside Vermont’s Noah NcLane, having been selected by their broadcasting peers, team officials, and front office representatives.

Per a league release:

The two broadcasters will take their talents to historic Fraser Field next Sunday, where they will cover all the events and festivities, beginning at 2:00 PM with the Home Run Derby.

At 4:30 PM, they will join the booth as color commentators alongside John Brickley from ESPN’s Baseball Tonight, for the call of the 2023 NECBL All-Star Game, presented by Metro Credit Union. Danbury’s Ricky Podgorski (Maryland) will also be joining the crew as the sideline reporter.

Both events will be broadcast live, free-of-charge on the NECBL Network, powered by BlueFrame Technology. They will also be aired in tape delay to 75 million households across the country

Robillard is a rising junior at the University of Rhode Island studying sports media and journalism. He currently works as the Sports Director for WRIU 90.3 Kingston, the official student-run radio station at URI, as well as the Sports Editor of The Good Five Cent Cigar, the university’s student newspaper. In his two years at URI, he’s called a wide variety of games across Rhode Island Athletics, including men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, volleyball, hockey, baseball and softball.

A regular PxP voice for the URI women’s baseball team on both WRIU and ESPN+ during a historic regular season, Nathan traveled to Chase Fieldhouse in Wilmington, DE to cover the team’s Atlantic 10 postseason tournament run in 2023. In the last year, he has also traveled to the Barclays Center to cover the A-10 MBB tournament, and spent time at Gillette Stadium as a local beat reporter for the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer.”
