Saul, Littleton Take Over in Week Four
College baseball is officially in full swing and this week we’re recognizing two players for their standout performances. Our Players of the Week are sophomore Charlie Saul and freshman pitcher Bruce Littleton.
Following an impressive game on Sunday, our Hitter of the Week is sophomore Charlie Saul from Bryant University. Saul helped the Bulldogs secure a 5-4 win against Rutgers collecting three hits, driving in two runs and stealing two bases. The outfielder matched his career high three hits and stole multiple bases for the first time in his career. Across the three-game series, Saul had a .500 batting average.
On the mound, earning Pitcher of the Week is freshman Bruce Littleton from the University of Southern Mississippi.The left-handed pitcher impressed in two innings during the Golden Eagles game against North Alabama. Littleton recorded four strikeouts across the two innings.
